Freshman Student Admission Requirements

A freshman applicant is defined as an individual who has completed or will complete a high school degree or its equivalent and has fewer than 12 transferrable college credit hours. The admission requirements for freshman applicants are as follows:

Students with a GPA just below 2.0 may be still considered for admission on a case-by-case basis. Self-reported information is accepted for most programs but an official transcript will be required if you are admitted to �ؾ��.*
If you took dual enrollment classes at your local community college as part of your high school diploma, you will need to submit transcripts from your community college in addition to your high school transcripts.
Coursework completed outside the U.S. requires a Foreign Credential Evaluation to be submitted.
English Language Proficiency: All international students and individuals who completed a degree program outside the United States are required to meet this requirement.

Transfer Student Admission Requirements

An individual who has completed a high school degree or its equivalent and has completed 12 or more transferable college credit hours. You can use our to see how your credits might transfer.

Students may receive college credit if they have successfully completed AP exams with the minimum score indicated for the subject below; the grade earned is “Pass”. Freshman students must submit official score reports from the College Board to the Office of Admission.

College Level Examination Program (CLEP) Equivalency Guide and Policy

SPECIAL POLICIES

CLEP exam credit from a score sheet will be awarded only after the student completes 12 semester hours with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 at �ؾ��.
CLEP credit can be accepted if the credit appears on a transcript from another accredited institution; and is in subject area normally accepted in transfer.
English Composition CLEP credit is not accepted from the score sheet nor from another school’s transcript.
Only the CELP exams listed below are acceptable in transfer from a score report.
A score of 50 is required.
The grade earned is “P”.
CLEP credit does not count in the 70 hours from a junior college; however, if the course is listed on a junior college transcript, the 70-hour rule applies.
Credit will not be given if the student has attempted or previously completed the course, or in the case of MATH, if the student has already earned credit for a higher MATH course.
Essays are required for American Government and all HISTORY credit. The appropriate department must be contacted to arrange for the essay.

Non-Degree, Students-at-Large

A student-at-large is a student who meets a program's admission requirements and wishes to pursue a limited course of study, rather than a bachelor's degree. Enrollment as a student-at-large is dependent upon the approval of the academic program.

Readmission

Undergraduate students who have not enrolled for three consecutive semesters (excluding the summer) must submit a Readmission Application. and select the "Readmission" option.

The Office of Admission will manage the readmission process in partnership with the advising office. When program requirements have changed, requirements in effect at the time of readmission apply. If a student was previously placed on academic probation or suspended, additional action will be required.
